Gozo is Malta's quieter, greener sister island — and a weekend is the perfect amount of time to explore it. This itinerary covers the Citadella, Ramla Bay, Dwejra, the Ä gantija Temples and the best restaurants.

Day 1: Victoria and the Coast

12:00pm — Victoria Market and Lunch

Afternoon: Dwejra and the Coast

4:00pm — Fungus Rock Viewpoint

Walk to the Dwejra viewpoint for spectacular views of Fungus Rock rising from the sea.

5:00pm — Xlendi Bay

Entry: €5

10:30am — Ta' Pinu Basilica

Visit the Ta' Pinu basilica — a stunning church in open countryside. Free entry.

11:30am — Marsalforn Bay

Drive to Marsalforn, a seaside resort. Walk the promenade and have a coffee.

Lunch

Eat at San Blas Kiosk near Nadur (authentic Maltese food at €) or a waterfront restaurant in Marsalforn.

Afternoon: Ramla Bay

2:00pm — Ramla Bay

Ramla Bay is Gozo's best beach — a wide sweep of red sand. Swim, sunbathe and relax. Allow 2-3 hours.

5:00pm — Nadur and the Coast

Drive through Nadur and the east coast. Stop at the Qala viewpoint for views back to Malta.

7:00pm — Dinner and Ferry
