Local Tip

The site is small and easily missed — look for the protective shelter structure. Combine with the nearby Hypogeum and Tarxien Temples.

Kordin III is a prehistoric megalithic temple site in Paola, dating to the Ġgantija phase of Maltese temple-building (around 3600–3200 BC). It is one of several temple sites that once existed on the Corradino Heights, of which it is the only survivor — the others were destroyed by industrial development in the 19th and 20th centuries.

The site consists of the remains of a small temple with a trefoil plan, now protected by a shelter structure. It is much smaller and less spectacular than the major temple sites at Ħaġar Qim, Mnajdra and Ġgantija, but it is significant as one of the few surviving prehistoric sites in the densely built-up Grand Harbour area. Access may be limited — check with Heritage Malta before visiting.
