Novità sits on the Senglea waterfront with wonderful views across to Valletta and the Grand Harbour. The menu is Mediterranean with a local and Italian leaning — think fresh pasta, grilled fish, and seasonal vegetables. Portions are reasonable and the cooking is honest. It's not trying to be Michelin-starred, but what it does, it does well. The daily specials are worth asking about.
Atmosphere at Novita (NovitĂ ): 7/10
The location does much of the heavy lifting here. The waterfront terrace is one of the nicest in the Three Cities, with boats bobbing on the harbour and Valletta's skyline in the background. The interior is simpler — a casual dining room without much character.

Friendly and efficient. The staff are helpful and happy to explain the menu. Not the slickest operation but warm and genuine.
