Food at Enchante: 15/20
The food is very good here with changing daily specials and an emphasis on fresh fish and shellfish. Prices are generally good provided you stay clear of the very good but more luxurious items such as Tagliatelle lobster at €28 or lobster thermidor at €9.50 per 100g. Other highlights include pepata de cozze (traditional mussels) delicious at €14, a wonderful traditional Maltese fish soup at €10, or a more capacious shellfish soup at €17. Fresh fish comes at €5 per 100g. For meat lovers there are a few dishes such as pork fillet at €20, and normally a daily beef special, sometimes including Wagyu.
Atmosphere at Enchante: 9/10
One of the best views in Malta is to be had from this harbour side restaurant which looks across to the ancient city of Birgu. Lunch in the sun here is a joy, and dinner can be enjoyed from April to November. The crowd is dominated by locals, and expats, and can be lively in a good way. Booking is advised in season.

Jeff and his multinational team of waiters provide friendly and attentive service with a smile, that makes dining here fun. There is a good selection of Maltese and Italian wines around €30, and some surprising French wines including Puligny Montrachet at €155, Veuve Cliquot at €85 and even Cristal at €360. Cocktails are good and much cheaper.
