Located in the heart of San Ä wann, just a short walk from the cafés and seafront of St Julian's, the school has been welcoming students from across Europe and beyond for over 25 years. Class sizes stay small so every student gets the attention they need, and the mix of classroom time, social activities and optional on-site residence helps you settle into life in Malta while you build real confidence in English.

Adult General English

€110/week (8 23 weeks) · €100/week (24+ weeks)
Shorter stays: see current school prices. One lesson = 45 minutes.
Evening General English
Make room for English after your working day, with weekday evening classes focused on practical communication.
€75/week (minimum 2 weeks)
Applies to General English only. Business English and IELTS evening courses are priced separately.
Parent and Child / Family Programme
Share a Malta learning experience, with English tuition for parents and younger learners and time to enjoy the island together.

Location & facilities
Gateway School of English sits in a residential part of San Ä wann, near St Julian's — not on the beachfront. The main school building includes:

- A school residence beside the main school
Accommodation
Accommodation is arranged separately unless your selected package explicitly includes it. Options include:
Adult and family accommodation is kept distinct from junior arrangements. Availability depends on the programme and season.

Practical information for families and juniors
Parent and child
Young learner classes for ages 4–10 run throughout the year, with 20 or 30 lessons weekly. Parents and children study in separate classes, with coordinated times described on the official page.
In summer, teaching may use a separate centre — so parents and children are not always in the same building. Confirm the arrangement with GSE before booking.
Junior programmes (11–17)
Three options are available year-round: tuition only, tuition plus activities, or tuition, activities and accommodation. Package inclusions depend on the option you choose.
Accommodation, transfers and continuous supervision are not implied in every booking. Parents and guardians should confirm the teaching location, arrangements and inclusions directly with GSE.
